Between wing beats and footsteps
Feather-light hummingbirds and majestically striding elephants – at first glance, they couldn't be more different. And yet both spring from the same artistic pen: the craftsmanship of renowned rabbit artist Lameck Tayengwa from Cape Town.
Lameck has been carving animal figures out of wood with incredible precision since childhood – inspired by the wild landscape of South Africa and taught by his father. Each of his sculptures tells of a deep, lifelong connection to nature and the tradition of woodworking.
Our summer window is dedicated entirely to his art.
All proceeds go directly back to South Africa to support Lameck Tayengwa and his work.
