The new faces on the Ramstein posters
In 2023, we presented our highly acclaimed 'couples campaign' featuring individuals who, at first glance, appeared to be in competition with one another. To mark our 125th anniversary in 2024, we have reproduced the highlights of Ramstein's poster history. In 2025 and 2026, we will return to our portraits, featuring personalities who inspire us – and perhaps you too.
The posters are kept simple with just two colours; we want to counteract the garish and noisy environment with something calmer. However, we have come up with something special – and now it gets a little nerdy: the posters are printed in duplex, which results in a vivid, brilliant image, precise colour depths and print sharpness with the highest level of detail.
Lukas Stäuble
Lukas Stäuble, operates at the intersections of contemporary media. In his artistic practice, he combines video, sound, photography and performance to create installation and performance works.
Together with Robin Nidecker, he founded the Collective Echo, which produced Tales of the Club. As a performer, he has appeared in productions at Theater Basel, including Dämonen and Ode an die gewaltbereite Jugend. The close connection between visual art, theatre and sound characterises his work.
Sarah Spale
Sarah Spale developed her artistic career between cultural studies, acting training and international film. After successes on Swiss television with Wilder, she gained international attention with Night Train to Lisbon; for her leading role in Platzspitzbaby she was awarded the Swiss Film Prize for Best Actress.
She is currently appearing in Hallo Betty in cinemas – and has already been nominated for the Swiss Film Award for the fourth time for this role.
Stefan von Bartha
Stefan von Bartha has been connected to the international art world since early childhood. After a period of orientation marked by an interest in vintage design, Stefan von Bartha found his own approach to art while studying at Christie's Education in New York. Since the early 2000s, he has shaped the Galerie von Bartha with a contemporary, team-oriented approach.
The gallery, with two locations – at Kannenfeldplatz in Basel and in Copenhagen – regularly participates in art fairs. Even as a child, Stefan von Bartha often accompanied his parents, the founders of the von Bartha Gallery, to these events.
Steffi Klär
Steffi Klär is a defining figure in Basel's cultural and music scene. For many years, as programme director of the Kuppel, she created a venue that is remembered far beyond the city limits – supported by her attentiveness, attitude and keen sense for people and music.
Today, she continues to bring people together: as an organiser of jazz events, a musician, a manager and a communications partner for cultural institutions. With her versatility, passion and big heart, she continues to shape Basel to this day – quietly, reliably and with a lasting impact.
