These are the faces of 2022.
Janiv Oron
Janiv Oron is a member of the famous Goldfinger Brothers, composer of electronic music and performer in various formations. For over twenty years, he has performed at DJ battles, club nights, open airs and parades at home and abroad. In recent years, he has participated in several interdisciplinary dance, art and theatre productions - including collaborations with Theater Basel, Kammerorchester Basel, Neumarkt Theater Zürich, Cabaret Voltaire or Dutch National Opera and Ballet Amsterdam. In 2016, Janiv was nominated for the Swiss Art Award. In the same year, he was awarded first prize in the category Best Sound Image at the Leipzig Radio Play Competition.
This summer he released his first own album Easel. The album is produced solely with the West Coast cult synthesizer of the Buchla brand, a Buchla Easel synthesizer.
Danique Stein
Danique Stein is a record-breaking FC Basel women's player, her heart beats only for red and blue. In the 21/22 season, she worked as a coach for the FCB Women. Today, she works at the Nachwuchs Campus Basel Foundation as Head of Finance/Administration/Events. and as a coaching assistant for the FC Basel women. With so much commitment to football, it is understandably difficult for her to lose weight. Then Danique also loses her infectious sense of humour, and then it's no longer funny for anyone around her. The best thing is to just leave her alone - for a day or two ;)

Elena Filipovic
Founded in 1839 by the Basler Kunstverein, Kunsthalle Basel has always been committed to contemporary art. Since 2015, the Californian Elena Filipovic has been the first woman ever to head Kunsthalle Basel. She is the author and editor of various publications, is an art critic and curator. Before coming to Basel, she curated at the WIELS Contemporary Art Centre in Brussels.
In addition to publications of the Kunsthalle Basel, the art historian with a doctorate has published "The Artist as a Curator", "David Hammons: Bliz-aard Ball Sale" and "The Apparently Marginal Activities of Marcel Duchamp" in recent years.
Elena Filipovic is curating the Croatian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2022 this year.
